Dawn…the time each morning when daylight first begins. A first appearance; a beginning.
Dawn begins when the first light begins to show over the horizon from the sunrise. This is the moment where there is the least light because there is no sunlight at that point. This is also the longest point since last seeing light.
I have given you this example from nature as a reminder to not give up when it seems like darkness will never give way to the light. Trust in the dawn. The dawn always comes. Always.
Everything that is alive goes through cycles and seasons. You are no different my child. Please know that I do some of my best work in the dark. In the dark of winter…my work is still taking place. Winter always gives way to spring.
Throughout your life, you will experience periods of darkness. It may feel as though things will never get better. This is when I need you to remember these examples. These metaphors. When it is the darkest…when you are feeling like you cannot hold on another minute…hold on. Breathe deeply. Rest. Hold on. Breathe deeply. Rest. The darkness is about to give way to the light. I promise.
I love you. I look forward to spending time with you again tomorrow at the dawn of a new day!
