Life in the cocoon can feel bleak at times. Uncertainty can feel daunting. It can feel like it is never going to end. The childish me acts as though whatever I am going through is going to last forever. The adult, more mature me, knows that this too shall pass. Whether we label experiences as good or bad…change is the one thing we can count on in life.
Something that helps me a lot in these situations is having a list of “wins”. “Wins” are the stories from the past where I was in a similar situation that seemed like there was no way out or no answer and then…something came up that shifted everything and the answers appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Those times where God, Universe, Source, aka GUS seemed to step in and bring clarity out of the chaos. Those times when the answer showed up when I least expected and often in a way I couldn’t have made up if I had tried.
Yesterday after I finished and published my post…I was feeling pretty good. I was thankful that I had kept my promise to myself and I was enjoying the place of asking easy questions. I was appreciating that I was able to be lighthearted about my life and was not trying to figure everything out at that very moment. What came to my mind was several experiences from my past where I was living in uncertainty not knowing what to do next and the answers came seemingly out of no where and how quickly my life changed for the better almost overnight.
It is so easy to lose sight of the wins when we are living in the chaos of the moment. Remembering those wins really helped me set the tone for the entire day. They gave me a sense of peace and calm and brought me back to center. I highly recommend it.
