Questions invite answers…

Posted on May 12, 2026 by Suzi Moret

I’ve been sitting here thinking about being in the cocoon and wishing I was out and then I found myself asking questions like…”What would it take for me to get out of the cocoon? What would being out of the cocoon be like or feel like? What is in me that is trying to emerge?”  What I discovered is that when I starting asking those questions…I felt a little lighter.  I felt, be it ever so slight, a shift.  Which brought me to this post.

The answers we seek are in the questions we ask.

Wow!  That is a powerful statement.  The answers I seek are in the questions I ask.  If I want good answers, I need to ask good questions.

I am responsible for the questions I ask.  Another wow and worth repeating…I am responsible for the questions I ask.

Which now leads me to…what are some good questions I can be asking myself?

And my answer is…it depends.  It depends on what state I am in when I start asking.  Since I am still in the cocoon so to speak…I don’t want to start with questions that are too big of a stretch.  I’m starting small.

The goal here isn’t to force myself into instant positivity.  I think the goal is to ask questions that gently open the door instead of slamming it shut.

So how about starting with…

What is one thing I can do to support myself today?  Or…

What is something I can do that I’ve been putting off that if I did it, I would feel like I accomplished something?  Which would in turn make me feel good.  Or…

What is something I’ve been denying myself that I can give myself as a gift today?  It could be something small like a dessert, or a manicure.

Starting small is where I am today.  I already feel lighter.  I feel the shift.

I just realized that what I’ve really done is “invited” questions to come in.  That in itself is a gift to me.

Maybe that’s all I’m really doing today…Inviting better questions in and remaining open to what they reveal.

So I ask you…

What questions are you inviting in today?
